Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy

Overview

Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON) is an inherited form of optic atrophy. It is also known as Leber's disease. This disease affects the optic nerve and is characterized by vision loss. LHON is a rare hereditary eye disease.

Signs and Symptoms

Painless loss of central vision, Blurring of vision, Reduced colour vision, Peripheral neuropathy, Tremor
