Primidone Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

It is not advisable to consume alcohol when taking Primidone due to potential worsening of side effect on the central nervous system.

Pregnancy Limited Data

Primidone has been reported to cause serious birth defects as with other anticonvulsants. It is thus not recommended to be used during pregnancy.

Lactation Safe If Prescribed

Primidone is found in the human breastmilk in low quantity. The nursing infant should be monitored for an adverse reaction such as drowsiness and thus should be stopped from using if such adverse effect occurs.

Driving Not advisable

It is not advisable to drive after Primidone treatment due to its potential side effects such as dizziness and headache which can affect the ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Use With Care

Dosage adjustment may be needed in patients with renal impairment.
