Side Effects:
Most people tolerate Nurofen for Kids well. However, the following side effects are often modest and transient: The most common side effects are stomach upset or pain, nausea, gastrointestinal intolerance and bleeding, stomach ulcers, activation of stomach ulcers, tarry stools, rashes, liver and kidney problems (cystitis, haematuria, acute renal failure, interstitial nephritis, and nephrotic syndrome), headache, dizziness, and hearing problems. Severe hypersensitivity responses, drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS syndrome), worsening of varicella infection, heart failure, and oedema have also seen. There are haematopoietic disorders.
Do not take this if you are allergic to the medicine or its composition. If you're unsure, check with us or your doctor.
Severe allergic reactions such as severe rash, severe itchiness and fever, swollen throat, face, eyelids or lips can happen. Stop taking this medication and speak to your doctor immediately if you experience these symptoms. This reaction may start soon after you first take the medicine, or it might start later.

Pregnancy Warning(Not Safe)
Take with precaution in 1st and 2nd trimester but do not take during 3rd trimester of pregnancy here is a risk of premature closure of the foetal ductus arteriosus with possible persistent pulmonary hypertension.The onset of labour may be delayed and duration of labour increased, with increased bleeding tendency in both mother and child.
Breastfeeding Warning(Limited Data)
In limited studies, Nurofen for Children 100mg/5ml Syrup 60ml appears in the breast milk in very low concentrations and is unlikely to affect the breast-fed infant adversely.
Driving Warning (Generally Safe)
Nurofen for Children 100mg/5ml Syrup 60ml usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kidney Warning(High Risk)
Use of Nurofen for Children 100mg/5ml Syrup 60ml is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nurofen for Children 100mg/5ml Syrup 60ml may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Warning(Limited Data)
Nurofen for Children 100mg/5ml Syrup 60ml is contraindicated in patients with severe liver disease as it is metabolised in the liver.

Drug/Food Interactions
No evidence of clinically relevant interactions with any regularly used medications has been observed to yet at therapeutic levels. As with other NSAIDs, caution should be exercised in patients receiving the following: oral anticoagulants (eg, coumarins); antihypertensive treatment with thiazide diuretics, ACE inhibitors, and -blockers; methotrexate and lithium; and other pain relievers containing aspirin, ibuprofen, or other NSAIDs; oral corticosteroids, SSRI, antiplatelet agents, cardiac glycoside, ciclosporin, mifepristone, tacrolimus, zidovudine, quinolone antibiotics.

Warning Precautions
Elderly, cardiovascular, liver, and renal failing patients should be given Nurofen for Children with caution. The NSAID-induced decrease of renal prostaglandin synthesis puts patients with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis, diuretic-induced volume depletion, or renal insufficiency at risk for renal dysfunction. Patients with hazy or reduced vision, or changes in colour vision, should stop taking Nurofen for Kids. Collagen disease patients may be more susceptible to aseptic meningitis. Patients with asthma should be given Nurofen for Children with caution. Consult a doctor if symptoms last 3 days or more. Patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, mixed connective tissue disease, or gastrointestinal disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease) should use Nurofen with caution.

What If You Forget To Take
