How To Use Allmedicus Gluco Dr Autometer 1s + 25s
1. Get your glucometer, alcohol prep pad, lancet, and test strip ready first. 2. Begin by washing your hands. This will aid in the prevention of infection. If you don't have access to a sink, the alcohol pad will suffice. You don't need to use an alcohol pad if you're near a sink and wash your hands well. 3. It may be beneficial to warm your hands beforehand. This can help to improve blood flow. Try vigorously rubbing your hands together. You can also put them in warm water to clean them. Just make sure they're completely dry before proceeding, as damp hands can dilute the blood sample. This could lead to a lower number. 4. Switch the glucometer on. When the machine is ready, insert a test strip. When placing the blood on the strip, keep an eye on the indication. 5. Wipe the area you've chosen with an alcohol prep pad after making sure your hand is dry. Wait until the alcohol has completely evaporated. 6. On the side of your finger, between the bottom of your fingernail and the tip of your nail, pierce your fingertip. The pads of your fingers should be avoided because they can pinch more. Depending on the sort of strip you're using, you'll need a different type of blood drop. Some people utilise a "hanging drop" of blood, for example. A little drop is required for strips that suck blood in by capillary action. 7. Apply a drop of blood to the strip's side or on it. 8. It will take a few moments for the glucometer to determine the blood sugar reading. Follow your doctor's instructions on what to do based on the results of your blood sugar test. 9. If your finger is still bleeding, wipe the area with the alcohol prep pad. 10. Make a list of your findings. It would be easier for you and your healthcare practitioner to develop a treatment plan if you keep good records. Some glucometers have a memory that can save your data. This makes keeping track of things a little easier.
