Overview

Severe hypoglycemia is a condition where the blood glucose level is lesser than the normal range and it can cause permanent damages and even mortality if not treated quickly. Both people with and without diabetes able to get this condition.

Signs and Symptoms

An irregular heart rhythm, Fatigue, Pale skin, Shakiness, Anxiety, Sweating, Hunger, Irritability, Tingling sensation around the mouth, Cries during sleep

Common Causes

Medications, Excessive alcohol consumption, Some critical illnesses, Insulin overproduction, Hormone deficiencies

Risk Factors

Diabetic patient under medication, Chronic diseases, Starvation, Drugs like-beta-blockers,cibenzoline,quinidine
