How Benzhexol Works

Trihexyphenidyl/Benzhexol is a selective M1 central muscarinic receptor antagonist. It inhibits the cholinergic activity and increases the dopamine level in the central nervous system which helps to provide smooth control of voluntary muscle movements.

Alcohol Not Advisable

It is not advisable to consume alcohol and Trihexyphenidyl/Benzhexol concomitantly as alcohol will accentuate the sedative effects and tachycardia.

Pregnancy Not Safe

There are insufficient studies on the use of Trihexyphenidyl/Benzhexol during pregnancy in animal studies and human studies. Thus, it is not advisable to be used during pregnancy unless it is necessary. Please consult your doctor.
