Beta-cyclodextrin is used for ankylosing spondylitis, arthralgia joint pain, dental pain, ear pain, fever, gout, headache, menstrual pain, migraine, mouth ulcers, muscle pain, muscular pain, musculoskeletal pain, nerve pain, osteoarthritis, pain during menstruation, patent ductus arteriosus (pda) , post-operative pain, prevention of heart attack, rheumatic pain, rheumatoid arthritis and toothache

Beta-Cyclodextrin Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

Beta-Cyclodextrin may cause visual disturbances, mental confusion. Therefore, intake of alcohol will aggravate these side effects

Pregnancy Not Safe

Prior to 30 weeks of pregnancy, the FDA category falls on category C. While for 30 weeks of gestation and above it falls on category D as there was evidence of patent ductus arteriosus.

Lactation Limited Data

Limited human data suggests that Beta-Cyclodextrin does not represent a significant risk to nursing infants. However, it is advisable to use in a short period only.

Driving Not advisable

Beta-Cyclodextrin may cause side effects such as sleepiness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Use With Care

There is limited data regarding the effect of usage of this drug in kidney functions.

Liver Limited Data

It may cause non-alcoholic liver disease by increases cholesterol storage and crystallization
