Bisoprolol is commonly used in the treatment of angina heart related chest pain, arrhythmias, heart attack, and heart failure.
Bisoprolol is a selective B1-adrenergic receptors blocker. It mainly focuses on inhibition of the heart muscles through the sympathetic nervous system, thus lowering the heart rate and the contractility of the muscle which ultimately lowering the demand for oxygen by the heart muscle.

Alcohol can potentiate side effects of bisoprolol.
Bisoprolol may be unsafe to use during pregnancy as it can reduce placental perfusion cauising adverse effects on foetus.Hence it is not recommended during pregnancy unless benefit outweighs risk. Please consult your doctor before using it.
There is no data concerning Bisoprolol excretion in breast milk. Thus, it is not presribed for breastfeeding users.
Bisoprolol usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Bisoprolol should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Bisoprolol may be needed. Please consult your doctor. 10mg daily is the maximum dose for severe kidney disease patients.
