Cyanocobalamin Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

Alcohol may decrease or increase the serum concentration of cyanocobalamin

Pregnancy Not Safe

Cyanocobalamin should not be used in pregnancy to treat megaloblastic anaemia because it is due to folate deficiency and not vitamin B12 deficiency unless indicated.

Lactation Safe If Prescribed

Cyanocobalamin is found in human breastmilk and vitamin B12 is essential in infant's growth as well.

Driving Generally Safe

It is not known whether Cyanocobalamin will affect the ability to drive or not. It can be used before driving based on its safety profile.

Kidney Safe If Prescribed

There is no dosage reduction indicated in patients with renal impairment. However, higher dosage requirement may be needed for patients with renal impairment.

Liver Safe If Prescribed

There is no dosage reduction indicated in patients with hepatic impairment. However, higher dosage requirement may be needed for patients with hepatic impairment.
