How Desonide Topical Works

Topical desonide is a medication used in Ezenide Lotion. It is a form of medication known as a steroid. It is a nonfluorinated corticosteroid that can be applied topically and has anti-inflammatory, anti-itching, and blood vessel constricting effects.

Burning Sensation, Itching, Irritation,Dryness, Hair Follicle Inflammation, Excessive Hair Growth, Acne, Skin Lightening, Softening And Breaking Down Of Skin, Secondary Infection, Skin Thinning, Stretch Marks And Prickly Heat Rash.

Alcohol Safe

As Desonide Topical is used topically, the risk of interacting with alcohol consumed is negligible.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Desonide Topical may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal reproduction studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus. However, there are limited well-controlled human studies. The benefits from the use of Desonide Topical in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Limited Data

Desonide Topical is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Animals studies showed Desonide Topical is excreted in the milk of rats. Limited human data suggests that Desonide Topical does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving Generally Safe

Desonide Topical should not affect alertness or driving ability.

Kidney Safe If Prescribed

Desonide Topical is safe to be used in patients with kidney impairment.

Liver Safe If Prescribed

Desonide Topical is generally safe for patients with liver disease.
