Hydroquinone is commonly used in the treatment of hyperpigmentation, and melasma.
Hydroquinone is a topical drug that treats hyperpigmentation by producing a reversible depigmentation of the skin by inhibiting enzymatic oxidation of tyrosine to 3, 4-dihydroxyphenylalanine and suppressing melanocyte processes.

It is safe to consume alcohol with hydroquinone because it is a topical drug. However, if you are feeling any significant reactions on taking it with alcohol consumption, please see your doctor for consultation.
