Alcohol Safe

There is no clear contraindication on the consumption of alcohol when taking Iloprost.

Pregnancy Not Safe

There are no animal reproductive data available and limited human reproductive data suggests no fetal harm on using Iloprost. Iloprost should only be used with specialist advice in pregnant women.

Lactation Not Advisable

It is not known whether Iloprost is excreted in human breast milk or not. Due to its potential toxicity towards the nursing infant, it is recommended either to stop breastfeeding or stop the treatment.

Driving Not advisable

It is not advisable to drive when under Iloprost treatment due to its potential side effects such as headache and dizziness which can affect the ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Use With Care

There is no need for dosage adjustment in patients with renal impairment but the doses may need to be halved for dialysis patients.

Liver Use With Care

Dosage adjustment is needed in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment with close monitoring.
