How Temozolomide Works

Temozolomide is a triazene (inactive prodrug) which can be hydrolyzed into MTIC and causing alkylation of guanine in the DNA strands.

Temozolomide Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

There are no known interactions between alcohol and Temozolomide when used concomitantly. However, it is not advisable to consume alcohol during the treatment of cancer-related diseases. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicities but there are no clinical data on the use of Temozolomide on pregnant women. Thus, it is not advisable to use Temozolomide during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Limited Data

The excretion of Temozolomide is not known in human milk. Thus, it is not advisable to use Temozolomide during breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Not advisable

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Temozolomide may cause side effects such as tiredness and sleepiness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Use With Care
