Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is an antioxidant. Alpha-lipoic acid is a fatty acid, which is present in a variety of foods, including spinach, yeast, broccoli, potatoes, and offal like liver and kidney.
It is unknown whether alpha-lipoic acid is effective in the treatment of any disease. The FDA has not authorised this product for medical use. Therefore, a lpha-lipoic acid like in product name should be use only as supplements and to not be used as a substitute for any prescription medications.
