Product Overview
Introduction of Mecovit 500mcg Tablet 10s (strip)
Mecovit is a brand name for the vitamin methylcobalamin. Methylcobalamin is a vitamin B12 supplement that is used to prevent and treat vitamin B12 deficiency. Vitamin B12 deficiency can result in anaemia and nerve damage. It is used to treat neuropathy caused by diabetes and peripheral neuropathy. It is a necessary nutrient for the body's production of healthy red blood cells and nerve cells. Methylcobalamin restores normal protein transport in nerve cells in diabetic patients. It inhibits nerve degeneration in drug-induced neuropathies. Methylcobalamin accelerates the metabolic pathways of nucleic acids, proteins, and lipids as a result of its involvement in the transmethylation reaction; as a result, it has a repairing effect on injured nerve tissues. Methylcobalamin has been shown in clinical trials to be effective and beneficial in the treatment of numbness, pain, and paralysis associated with peripheral neuropathies.
