A heart attack also is widely known as Myocardial infarction is when there is a cessation of blood flow due to blocking thrombus causing irreversible myocardial damage. It is also categorized under the umbrella term of acute coronary syndrome. Stroke is when there is reduced or deprived blood supply to the brain tissue causing irreversible damages of brain tissue.
