Nasal Polyps

Overview

Nasal polyps is a condition in which there is a growth from the inner lining of the nose. This condition is painless and noncancerous. If left untreated however, it can cause obstruction leading to infection and respiration problems.

Signs and Symptoms

Chronic infection, Continuous nose block, Runny nose

Asthma, Sinusitis, Cystic fibrosis

Nasal endoscopy, Medical imaging, Allergy test

Treatment and Prevention

Corticosteroids, Treatment of underlying cause of polyps such as infections or cystic fibrosis, Surgery
