Dyriton (Chlorpheniramine) 4mg/5ml Syrup 60ml and alcohol consumption may worsen the effects on the central nervous system as their adverse reactions may be compounded.
Pregnancy Warning(Not Safe)
There are mixed and inadequate data to conclude the safety profile of Chlorpheniramine in pregnant women. It may be safe to use in the first and second trimester but may increase the risk of premature neonates if used in the third trimester.
Breastfeeding Warning(Safe If Prescribed)
Dyriton (Chlorpheniramine) 4mg/5ml Syrup 60ml is present in small quantity in human breastmilk and can cause drowsiness on the infant. Close monitoring is required if using Dyriton (Chlorpheniramine) 4mg/5ml Syrup 60ml during breastfeeding or using second generation of anti-histamine.
Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
It is not advisable to drive when taking Dyriton (Chlorpheniramine) 4mg/5ml Syrup 60ml due to its potential side effects such as drowsiness and dizziness which can affect the ability to drive and concentrate.
Kidney Warning(Safe If Prescribed)
No dosage adjustment is needed for people with renal impairment despite it being excreted via urine.
Liver Warning(Safe If Prescribed)
Although no dosage adjustment is indicated by the manufacturer labelling, precautionary measure with dosage adjustment may be needed in moderate to severe hepatic impaired patient due to Dyriton (Chlorpheniramine) 4mg/5ml Syrup 60ml being metabolised by the liver.

Introduction of Dyriton (Chlorpheniramine) 4mg/5ml Syrup 60ml
It is recommended that you take Dyriton 4mg/5ml Syrup with or without meals, but that you take it at the same time every day in order to receive the maximum benefit. It should be regarded as medical advise from your doctor. The dosage and frequency with which you take it are determined by the condition for which you are taking it. Your doctor will determine how much treatment you will need to alleviate your symptoms. You should continue to take this medication for as long as your doctor has recommended it for you. If you have forgotten to take a dosage, it is best to take the following dose as soon as you remember to do so. However, you should never take two doses at the same time.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
