Beclomethasone otic is commonly used in the treatment of ear infections.

How Beclometasone Otic Works

Beclomethasone Otic is a corticosteroid. It has an anti-inflammatory property where it works by reducing the number of mediator cells, eosinophils and fibroblast activity. It also has vasoconstrictor effects where it inhibits capillary dilation and permeability.

Side Effects of Beclometasone Otic

Nausea, Vomiting, Unpleasant taste, Nasal and throat dryness, Nasal and throat irritation, Sneezing, Epistaxis, Impaired wound healing

Alcohol Safe

It is probably safe to consume alcohol with Beclomethasone Otic. Taking Beclomethasone Otic with alcohol has no known interactions. However, please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Beclomethasone Otic may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus. However, there are limited well-controlled human studies. The benefits from the use of Beclomethasone Otic in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Limited Data

Beclomethasone Otic is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that Beclometasone Otic does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving Generally Safe
