Uses of Calcium Dobesilate

Calcium dobesilate is commonly used to treat chronic venous disease which can present as chronic leg swelling, leg ulcers or varicose veins. it is also used in diabetic eye disease and to treat piles or hemorrhoids.

How Calcium Dobesilate Works

Calcium Dobesilate reduces blood viscosity and improves blood flow by regulating the resistance and permeability of the capillary walls.

Side Effects of Calcium Dobesilate

Fever, Skin rash, Headache, Vertigo, Nausea, Diarrhea

Pregnancy Not Safe - High Risk

Calcium Dobesilate is contraindicated in pregnancy.

Lactation Not Advisable

Calcium Dobesilate is contraindicated in breastfeeding.

Driving Not advisable

Calcium Dobesilate may cause headaches, nausea, and vertigo which may impair your concentration while driving. Only drive if you are feeling well.

Kidney Use With Care

Dose adjustment of Calcium Dobesilate may be needed in a patient with severe renal impairment.

Liver Use With Care

Calcium Dobesilate is safe to use in patients with liver impairment
