Cefalexin is commonly used in the treatment for upper and lower urinary tract infection, skin and soft tissue infection
Cefalexin is an antibiotic. It works by binding and inhibiting the bacterial peptidoglycan synthesis and stops the formation of bacterial cell wall.

It is safe to consume alcohol with cefalexin. Consuming cefalexin with alcohol will not interfere with the way the medication works.
Use of cefalexin is acceptable during pregnancy. Animal reproduction studies do not demonstrate adverse effects on the fetus, and there is not adequate studies in pregnant women.
