Alcohol Safe

There could be a possible interaction between Diacerein and alcohol. Otherwise, it is fairly safe to consume alcohol while on Diacerein.

Pregnancy Not Safe - High Risk

Diacerein is unsafe to use during pregnancy. Both animal and human studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus. This medicine is strictly prohibited in pregnancy. Use of Diacerein should be started only after pregnancy has been excluded.

Lactation Not Advisable

Diacerein is contraindicated during lactation. Animal studies have shown excretion of Diacerein in milk.

Driving Generally Safe

Diacerein usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Use With Care

Diacerein should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Diacerein may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Use With Care

Diacerein should be used with care in patients with liver disease. Liver function test monitoring is advisable after 6 months.
