Dorzolamide is commonly used to treat glaucoma, ocular hypertension
Dorzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor in the ciliary processes of the eye. With this, it decreases aqueous humor secretion, resulting in a reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP).

There is no known interaction between Dorzolamide with alcohol. Systemic absorption of Dorzolamide is minimal to none as it is a topical medication. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Dorzolamide may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may outweigh the risk. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Dorzolamide is found to be excreted into animal breast milk but its excretion into human breast milk is largely unknown. If prescribed to a breastfeeding mother, lactation should be withheld temporarily. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Dorzolamide may cause side effects of dizziness and visual disturbances, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive. Do not drive unless you're feeling well.
Dorzolamide should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Dorzolamide may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Dorzolamide is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
