Mebendazole is commonly used to treat enterobiasis, ascariasis, hookworm infections and trichuriasis.

How Mebendazole Works

Mebendazole is an anthelmintic. It inhibits the formation of helminth microtubules and causes degenerative changes in the intestine. It also blocks glucose uptake and disrupts digestive and reproductive functions resulting in immobilization, inhibition of egg production and death of the helminth.
