Mycophenolate Sodium is an immunosuppressant. It inhibits the proliferation of white cells such as T- and B-lymphocytes.

Mycophenolate Sodium is contraindicated in pregnancy as there is higher risk of losing a pregnancy (miscarriage) during the first three months (first trimester), and a higher risk that their baby will be born with birth defects.
There is no information regarding the presence of Mycophenolate Sodium in human breast milk. Nevertheless, due to possible adverse effect of Mycophenolate Sodium, it is contraindicated in lactating women.
There is no information regarding the influence of Mycophenolate Sodium on the general concentration and the ability to drive.
Mycophenolate Sodium should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose titration of Mycophenolate Sodium may be needed.
