How Norfloxacin Works

Norfloxacin is a fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics which is able to inhibit the DNA gyrase and Topoisomerase, subsequently preventing the synthesis of bacterial DNA.

Dizziness, Headache, Nausea, Abdominal pain, Gut disturbances, Tingling and numbness of extremities, Abnormal liver function, Joint pain, Muscle Spasm, Hypoglycaemia

Alcohol Safe

There is no known interaction between alcohol and Norfloxacin when used concomitantly. It is advisable to consume alcohol only in moderate amount.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicities but there are limited data on the use of Norfloxacin in pregnant woman. Thus, it should only be used when potential benefits are more than potential risks to the fetus during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.
