Permethrin is commonly used to treat filariasis, head lice, onchocerciasis itchy bumps on the skin, scabies, and strongyloidiasis.

How Permethrin Works

It is a pyrethrin pediculocide and scabicide that treats parasite and fungal infection and also scabies. It interrupts Na ion influx through nerve cell membrane channels, delaying repolarisation and cause the parasites to paralyse and die.

Skin itchiness, Skin redness, Skin swelling, Burning or tingling sensation.

Alcohol Safe

It is safe to consume alcohol with Permethrin because it is a topical drug. Ovicidal activity of Permethrin is increased by addition of an alcohol.However, if you feel any unfamiliar reactions when taking Permethrin with alcohol, please consult your doctor.
