Alcohol Safe

Polyvinylpyrrolidone is usually safe to use with alcohol simultaneously.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Polyvinylpyrrolidone should not be used regularly during pregnancy unless it is necessary.

Lactation Not Advisable

Polyvinylpyrrolidone is not recommended during breastfeeding as iodine is secreted in breast milk which may affect the thyroid function of the newborns.

Driving Generally Safe

Polyvinylpyrrolidone usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Use With Care

Polyvinylpyrrolidone is recommended to be used with cautious as iodine can be absorbed into the blood and lead to toxicity, especially in patients with kidney impairments. Please consult your doctor.

Liver High Risk

Polyvinylpyrrolidone is generally safe to use in patients with liver impairment.
