Alcohol may further damage the liver which is caused by Propylthiouracil. Thus, it is not advisable to consume alcohol and Propylthiouracil concomitantly.
Animal studies and human studies have shown reproductive toxicities. Thus, Propylthiouracil is contraindicated during pregnancy.
Excretion of Propylthiouracil has been found in human breast milk. Thus, it is contraindicated during breastfeeding.
There are no studies on the effect of Propylthiouracil on the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
