Raloxifene is a selective oestrogen receptor modulator which is able to prevent bone loss by mimicking the action of endogenous oestrogen in bone tissues.

Raloxifene Related Warnings

Alcohol Safe

There is no known interaction between alcohol and Raloxifene when consumed concomitantly.

Pregnancy Not Safe - High Risk

Raloxifene is used only in postmenopausal women and it may cause reproductive toxicities when used during pregnancy. Thus, it is contraindicated during pregnancy.

Lactation Not Advisable

Excretion of Raloxifene is unknown in human breast milk. Thus, it is not advisable to be used during breastfeeding as risks to breastfed babies cannot be excluded. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Generally Safe

Raloxifene usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Use With Care

Caution use has to be practised in patients with mild to moderate kidney impairment. Raloxifene is contraindicated in patients with severe kidney impairment. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Use With Care

Raloxifene is contraindicated in patients with liver impairment.
