Tianeptine Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

Alcohol may decrease the absorption of Tianeptine and may worsen the progression and severity of depression. Thus, it is not advisable to take alcohol during the treatment with Tianeptine.

Pregnancy Limited Data

Pregnancy safety profile has not been established for Tianeptine. Thus, it is not advisable to be used during pregnancy.

Lactation Not Advisable

Safety profile has not been established for Tianeptine in breastfeeding women. Thus, it is not advisable to be used during breastfeeding.

Driving Not advisable

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Tianeptine may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or vertigo, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Use With Care

Dose adjustment may be needed for patients with kidney impairment.

Liver Use With Care

Tianeptine is safe to be used in patients with liver impairment.
