Introduction of Jakavi 20mg Tablet 56s
If you're pregnant or think you may be, don't take it until your doctor tells you to. If you have ever experienced heart failure, a weakened immune system (including HIV/AIDS), renal issues, or liver problems such as yellow skin, talk to your doctor before taking this medication (jaundice). This medication may not be right for you. If your therapy lasts more than a month, your doctor may want to do a blood test to monitor your liver. Do not drive or operate machinery unless you are sure this medication will not make you dizzy or cause blurred vision.
How To Use Jakavi 20mg Tablet 56s
This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
A few common side effects of this medicine are headache, dizziness, low platelet count. This medicine may decrease the number of blood cells cells in your blood, causing higher risk of infections. In order to check your blood cells, regular blood tests are needed along with heart, liver, kidney and lipid level.

Warning Precautions
Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
There is no known interaction between alcohol and Jakavi 20mg Tablet 56s when consumed concomitantly. However, it is not advisable to consume alcohol when receiving anticancer treatment.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicities but there are no human studies have been conducted. Thus, Jakavi 20mg Tablet 56s is contraindicated during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)
Excretion of Jakavi 20mg Tablet 56s has been found in animal milk but it is unknown in human breast milk. Thus, it is not advisable to be used during breastfeeding as the risks cannot be excluded. Please consult your doctor.
Driving Warning (Generally Safe)
Jakavi 20mg Tablet 56s usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
Dose adjustment is needed for patients with severe and end-stage kidney disease on dialysis. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Warning (Use With Care)
Dose adjustment is needed in patients with liver impairment. Please consult your doctor.
Quick Tips
Take it with or without food, ideally in the morning.
It can induce dizziness and headaches. Do not drive or do something that involves concentration before you know how it affects you.
Always use a safe contraception procedure to avoid pregnancy when taking this drug.
Your doctor may conduct routine blood tests to check your blood cells, liver and kidney function, and lipid levels during treatment with this drug.
Tell the doctor directly if you find any signs of inflammation, such as fever, sore throat, or rash.
Do not stop taking Jakavi 20 mg tablet without consulting the doctor.
