How To Use Maxitrol Eye Ointment 3.5g
This medicine is for external use only. Always wash your hands before and after applying the eye ointment. Hold the tube close to the eye without touching the surface to avoid contamination. Pull down the lower eyelid to form a pouch. Gently squeeze the tube to dispense the desired amount of ointment onto a clean finger and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Slowly release the lower eyelid and blink a few times to spread the ointment. Wipe off any extra liquid. Ensure to replace and tighten the cap straight after use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Maxitrol Eye Ointment should be administered according to the recommended dosage and duration.
Complete the whole course of therapy. Do not miss any doses even if you are feeling better to avoid reoccurence.
May cause temporary visual blurring upon administration. Do not use before driving or perform any activities that require attention.
Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it.
Drop Maxitrol Eye Ointment directly into the lower lid and wipe off extra fluid.
Press the inner corner of the eye (near the nose) for approximately 1 minute, immediately after administering Maxitrol Eye Ointment.
Make sure the tip does not get in contact with any surface or eyes to prevent contamination. Wait at least 5-10 minutes before administering the next drug into the same eye (if needed) to prevent dilution.
Stinging feeling may occur for 1-2 minutes. Contact your doctor if it continues.
Avoid using contact lenses until your condition improves.
Use Maxitrol Eye Ointment within 4 weeks after opening the bottle.
Do not abruptly stop Maxitrol Eye Ointment without first talking to your doctor as it may aggravate your symptoms.
