Side Effects

CNS depression, Tachycardia, Euphoria, Potential for abuse, Increased intraocular pressure, Gastrointestinal obstruction, Restlessness, Palpitation, Nasal congestion, Urinary retention/ hesitancy, Pruritus

Leucopenia, Thrombocytopenia, Pancytopenia, Angioedema, Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation, Headache, Insomnia, Hypotension .

Warning Precautions

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)

Patients should avoid consuming alcohol while on Biowell Pensic 450mg/35mg Tablet 10s (Strip) because alcohol may enhance the CNS depressant effect of Orphenadrine.It is safe to consume alcohol in small amount while taking Biowell Pensic 450mg/35mg Tablet 10s (Strip). Large quantities of alcohol may increase the risk of liver side effects.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Biowell Pensic 450mg/35mg Tablet 10s (Strip) should only be given to a pregnant woman if it is clearly needed and its potential benefits outweigh its potential risks. There are no animal studies done and it is also unknown whether Orphenadrine may give harm to the fetus if given to a pregnant woman.There is no effect in pregnancy if Biowell Pensic 450mg/35mg Tablet 10s (Strip) is used as the recommended dosage.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

There is no data regarding whether Biowell Pensic 450mg/35mg Tablet 10s (Strip) may be excreted into the breast milk and no data on the effects of Orphenadrine on the breastfed infant and its effect on milk production.Biowell Pensic 450mg/35mg Tablet 10s (Strip) is excreted in human breast milk in very small amount, therefore it is safe to use Biowell Pensic 450mg/35mg Tablet 10s (Strip) during breastfeeding.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

Due to the side effects like blurry vision, dizziness, and drowsiness, it is not recommended to drive while on Biowell Pensic 450mg/35mg Tablet 10s (Strip).Biowell Pensic 450mg/35mg Tablet 10s (Strip) usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)

There is limited data on whether Orphenadrine should be used in patients with kidney disease but in moderate to severe kidney impairment, the usage of this medication should be avoided.It is advisable to use Biowell Pensic 450mg/35mg Tablet 10s (Strip) with caution in patients with severe renal impairment.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)

Orphenadrine has been used for more than 50 years and has not been linked to any liver injury or liver diseases. However, it should be considered to avoid the usage of this medication in patients with moderate to severe liver disease.It is advisable to use Biowell Pensic 450mg/35mg Tablet 10s (Strip) with caution in patients with severe liver impairment. The effects of overdose are greater in patients with non-cirrhosis alcoholic liver disease. Delayed in treatment of overdose may also cause serious damage to the liver.
