Side Effects
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
Hypoglycaemia. Neuropathy that is acutely painful. Diabetic retinopathy temporarily worsens. Lipodystrophy. Injection site reactions include redness, swelling, itching, pain, and haemorrhage. Oedema. Rashes and urticaria.
It is not advisable to drink alcohol with Duopharma Insugen 30/70 (100IU/ml) Cartridge 3ml x5 as alcohol may affect blood glucose levels, both hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia can occur. It is best to drink alcohol in moderation for diabetic patient.
Pregnancy Warning (Maybe Safe)
Animal studies failed to show that there is a risk to the fetus and there are no well-controlled human studies among pregnant women. Duopharma Insugen 30/70 (100IU/ml) Cartridge 3ml x5 does not pass through the placenta thus, it can be used during pregnancy. Poorly controlled diabetes may cause hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia which can increase the risk of malformations and death in utero. Throughout pregnancy, it is important to control the blood glucose strictly and monitor pregnant women with diabetes closely.
Breastfeeding Warning (Safe If Prescribed)
It is safe to use Duopharma Insugen 30/70 (100IU/ml) Cartridge 3ml x5 while breastfeeding as there is no risk to the baby. However, the short-acting Duopharma Insugen 30/70 (100IU/ml) Cartridge 3ml x5's dose must be adjusted.
Driving Warning (Generally Safe)
It is generally safe to drive while on Duopharma Insugen 30/70 (100IU/ml) Cartridge 3ml x5 treatment. However, patients who have reduced or absent awareness of warning signs of hypoglycemia or frequent episodes of hypoglycemia must take precautions while driving. It is best to avoid since hypoglycemia may impair the ability to concentrate and react while driving.
Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
In patients with renal impairment, intense monitoring of blood glucose is required and the human Duopharma Insugen 30/70 (100IU/ml) Cartridge 3ml x5 dose is to be modified based on individual need. The Duopharma Insugen 30/70 (100IU/ml) Cartridge 3ml x5 requirement for patients with renal impairment may also be reduced because of the disease.
Liver Warning (Safe If Prescribed)
In patients with liver impairment, intense monitoring of blood glucose is required and the human Duopharma Insugen 30/70 (100IU/ml) Cartridge 3ml x5 dose is to be modified based on individual need. The Duopharma Insugen 30/70 (100IU/ml) Cartridge 3ml x5 requirement for patients with liver impairment may also be reduced because of the disease.
Warning Precautions
Insugen 30/70 100IU/ml should not be used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Do not use this medication if the solution appears cloudy or discolored.
Do not shake the insulin vial as this could damage the insulin and reduce its efficacy.
Do not freeze the insulin.
Keep the insulin away from direct heat and light.
Do not use this medication if the expiration date has passed.
