Dosage
Adults should take 100-200 mg of elemental iron (2-4 tablets) every day in one or two separate doses after meals.
Depending on the patient's age and symptoms, the dosage may be altered.
How To Use Ferrocyte 50mg Tablet 10s (strip)
This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Iron deficiency anaemia is a common form of anaemia where low levels of iron causes a lack of healthy red blood cells. Iron deficiency can be due to the lack of intake in the diet, blood loss, or parasitic infections.
Diagnosis of iron deficiency anaemia can be confirmed by blood tests taking a full blood count. Additional tests such as blood iron levels, size and colour of red blood cells, ferritin levels and total iron-binding capacity. If there is a suspected internal bleeding causing the anaemia, further tests may be performed to confirm this.
Treatment of iron-deficiency anaemia depends on the cause and severity. Some treatment options include: 1. Iron supplements such as. 2. Diet rich in red meat, dark and green leafy vegetables, nuts, dried fruits and iron-fortified cereals. Vitamin C intake can also aid the body's absorption of iron. 3. Other treatment of underlying cause of bleeding.
Iron deficiency anaemia can not be treated overnight. Proper tailored treatment should be discussed with a trained healthcare provider to recover fully.
