Many women take evening primrose oil and calcium as dietary supplements. CalEPO Plus is formulated as liquid calcium + vitamin D3 in a base of evening primrose oil, effectively reducing intake of multiple capsules / tablet per dose to 1 capsule only.
Evening primrose oil (gamma linoleic acid) is well recognised as an essential fatty acid for the skin, with clinical experiences and numerous studies confirming the beneficial effect of EPO on the skin.
Calcium is a dietary supplement that promotes bone health. Calcium absorption is improved with the addition of vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 plays an important role in calcium absorption. However, vitamin D3 is oil soluble, and the oily or solid forms of this vitamin do not mix well with or dissolve in water, resulting in poor absorption and waste.
CalEPO Plus is a soft gel capsule formulated to improve calcium and EPO absorption. When the absorption of evening primrose oil improves, so does the absorption of vitamin D3, making calcium absorption more efficient. It is well documented that emulsifying formulations improve absorption.
