If the seal on your Trusopt 2% Eye Drop bottle is broken before you use it for the first time, do not use it. Before using it, be sure to wash your hands well and shake the container thoroughly before each use. If you use contact lenses, be sure to take them out and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in. Do not discontinue use of this medication without first consulting your doctor. If you do not do so, the pressure in your eye will not be managed, and this may result in permanent vision loss. In addition to stinging and burning sensations, impaired vision, and bitter taste in your mouth are some of the most frequent adverse effects of this drug. People may also suffer more general side effects such as headaches, nausea, fatigue, or eye discomfort while using this medication. If your eyesight becomes blurred or you experience other changes in your vision for a period of time, refrain from driving until your vision is clear. If you have severe kidney issues or are allergic to a class of medications known as sulphonamides, you should not use this medication. If you have liver issues, dry eyes, or corneal difficulties, you should see your doctor before using this medication. Other eye medicines should not be used unless instructed to do so by your doctor.
How To Use Trusopt 2% Eye Drop 5ml
This medicine is for external use only. Always wash your hands before and after applying eye drops. Tilt your head back and look upwards. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it to avoid contamination. Pull down the lower eyelid to form a pouch. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Whilst keeping the affected eye closed, gently press your finger against the corner of the closed eye (the side where the eye meets the nose) and hold for 1 minute. Wipe off any extra liquid. Wait for 5 minutes before administering another drop into that eye (of the same or different medication) to prevent drops from being washed out of the eye. Ensure to replace and tighten the cap straight after use or discard away any medication for single-use containers.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
Headache, Burning and stinging of the eyes, Superficial punctate keratitis, Conjunctivitis, Eye itching, Blurred vision, Nausea, Bitter taste
