Zocor 10mg Tablet is a commonly used drug and is considered safe for long-term use. It can be taken with or without food, taking it with food can reduce the chance of nausea. Taking it frequently at night helps to optimise its effects. Most people don't feel sick, but stopping the medication will make the condition worse.
It is necessary to get your cholesterol levels tested regularly. This medicine is just one aspect of the treatment programme which should also include a balanced diet, physical exercise, smoking cessation, alcohol consumption reduction and weight loss. You can eat normally when taking this medicine , but try to avoid high fat foods.
This medication should not be used in conditions such as liver problems. Also, pregnant women and breast-feeding mothers should not take this medication as it can affect the developing child. Diabetes patients should control their blood sugar levels when taking this medicineas it may lead to a rise in blood sugar levels.
If you miss a dose of Zocor 10mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose
