Pregnancy Warning(Not Safe - High Risk)
Ethinyl Estradiol is unsafe to use during pregnancy. Both animal and human studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus and fetal abnormalities. Please consult your doctor for more details.Evra 6mg/600mcg Transdermal Patch 3s is not indicated during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown undesirable effects on the fetus, however, based on general experience of Evra 6mg/600mcg Transdermal Patch 3s during pregnancy did not provide any evidence of adverse effect to the fetus.
Breastfeeding Warning(Not Advisable)
No academic reports explaining the use of Ethinyl Estradiol during lactation are available. However, the use of Ethinyl Estradiol for breastfeeding mothers is not recommended because it may reduce milk production and decrease the nutrient content in the milk.Evra 6mg/600mcg Transdermal Patch 3s in combined oral contraceptive pill may reduce the quantity of human breast milk and constituent of the milk. Therefore, it is not recommended to use it during lactation.
Driving Warning (Generally Safe)
Generally it is safe to take ethynilestradiol if you are driving. However, do not drive if you feel any side effects such as dizziness, headaches, or nausea, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.Evra 6mg/600mcg Transdermal Patch 3s does not cause side effect that will interrupt with ability to drive.
Kidney Warning(Limited Data)
The use of Ethinyl Estradiol is should be safe in patients with kidney problem. Hoever, consult your doctor regarding dose adjustment if needed.There is no information regarding the safety of Evra 6mg/600mcg Transdermal Patch 3s in patient with kidney disease. No dose titration of Evra 6mg/600mcg Transdermal Patch 3s is required.
Liver Warning(Use With Care)
Ethinyl Estradiol should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ethinyl Estradiol may be needed. However, patients with liver carcinoma is contraindicated to take Ethinyl Estradiol. Please consult your doctor. Evra 6mg/600mcg Transdermal Patch 3s is contraindicated in patients with liver disease.

Make note of the day, date and time you apply the patch to remind you when you need to replace it. Remove the protective liner of the patch without touching its sticky sides. Apply patch onto clean, dry, flat, undamaged and hairless skin. Smoothen patch evenly onto skin and wash your hands after applying it. When it is time to remove the patch, gently peel it away from your skin and fold the patch in half with its sticky sides facing inwards. Do not apply patch on the same area twice in a row as this can irritate your skin.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Quick Tips
Take Evra 6mg/600mcg at the same time regularly to help you remember to take it.
Menstrual irregularities, such as spotting or bleeding between periods or missed periods, are possible. Notify your doctor if it persist.
While on Evra 6mg/600mcg, make sure you get a regular breast exam (to check for lumps or other abnormal changes) and a cervical smear test.
Stop Evra 6mg/600mcg immediately and notify your doctor if you experience unexplained swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain, severe headache, or changes in vision. These could be symptoms of a blood clot in a vein.
Do not take Evra 6mg/600mcg and discuss with your doctor if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, over 35, smoke, or have a history of blood clots or heart disease.
