Clindamycin is commonly used in the treatment of acne and bacterial infections.
Clindamycin is an antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit reversibly. This stops the translocation or transpeptidation and results in stunted cell growth.
