Ipratropium is commonly used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (copd).

How Ipratropium Works

Ipratropium is an anticholinergic drug. It works as a bronchodilator leading to bronchodilation of the bronchial smooth muscles by blocking the action of acetylcholine at that site. Other than that, it works by inhibiting the serous and seromucous gland secretions.

Dry mouth, Constipation, Tachycardia, Palpitations, Nausea, Vomiting, Headaches, Dizziness
