How To Use Mustela Nursing Comfort Balm 30ml
Our tube is user-friendly and ideal for precise application.
Step 1: Apply a thick coating to the nip after each feeding. There is no need to rinse the balm off, as it will protect the nipples until the next feeding. Step 2: Apply again after each feeding. Before every feeding, ensure that the nipples are clean (no "pills" from your cotton bra, no cream clumps etc.) If necessary, clean your nipples with water.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
Although rare, if any symptoms or side effects occur, stop usage and seek medical attnetion immediately.

Sore nipples are frequent in nursing mothers. The cause determines the treatment. Common causes include poor latching, chafing, thrush, or learning a new skill. You may have multiple causes of hurting nipples. How to treat breastfeeding painful nipples
1. Stop thrush Your nipples get wet when you nurse. This can induce nipple thrush. Throat thrush is contagious. It requires a doctor's care. Thrush nipples are sore and pink. Keep them dry between feeding. You can either blow on or pat your nipple dry, or go topless. Bathe with mild soap and rinse well. If you frequently spill milk, use breast pads and change them. Dry bras and nipples breed yeast.
2. Nipple moisturiser You may need to moisturise and dry your nipples. Dry nipples may crack and bleed when breastfeeding.
