How To Use Reflotron Check & Clean Strip 15s
The separately packaged cleaning wipes are used to thoroughly clean the measurement system in accordance with the specified instructions. Cleaning should be performed when the message "Measure Clean and Check" is shown on the Reflotron®.
Which areas of the meter require disinfection and cleaning?
Clean the regions surrounding slots and apertures, taking care not to get moisture in them. Additionally, you should clean the entire meter surface, including the display.
To clean your meter, follow these steps:
Do’s:
1. Ensure that the meter is turned off.
2. Using a delicate cloth slightly wet with one of the following, gently wash the meter's surface:
Isopropyl alcohol 70%
Dishwashing liquid somewhat diluted with water
A ten percent bleach solution (1 part bleach to nine parts water) prepared the same day
3. Before wiping the meter surface, squeeze any surplus liquid from the towel.
Don'ts:
1. Remove any moisture that may have accumulated in the code key or test strip slot.
2. Directly onto the meter, spray any cleaning solution
3. Submerge the meter in liquid or water.
4. Fill the meter halfway with liquid.

Additionally, there are additional factors that affect accuracy, including the following:
1. Issues with test strips
2. Temperature extremes
3. Alcohol, dirt, or other things on the skin
5. Keep an eye out for difficulties
6. Inadequate blood on the test strip
7.Location of the testing site
8. Your blood's red blood cell count
