Introduction of One-Alpha 1mcg Capsule 10s (strip)
It contains alfacalcidol, which is a vitamin D-like substance that promotes the absorption of calcium and phosphate in food from the intestines.
Alfacalcidol is a vitamin D supplement used to treat deficiency in conditions including hypocalcemia (low blood calcium levels), rickets (bone weakness), and others. Calcium metabolism disorders (deficiency and elevation of calcium levels in the bones or blood).
How To Use One-Alpha 1mcg Capsule 10s (strip)
Dosage depends on indication. Always use as directed by your doctor. The capsules should be taken with a glass of water and swallowed whole.
Alfacalcidol 1 microgram, Sesame oil; all-rac-α-tocopherol; gelatine (bovine); glycerol; potassium sorbate (E202); red iron oxide (E172); black iron oxide (E172).
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
Overdosage may cause symptoms of hypercalcemia such as anorexia, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, constipation or diarrhoea, polyuria, sweating, headache, polydipsia, hypertension, somnolence and vertigo.
Drug/Food Interactions
Intestinal absorption of One-Alpha 1mcg Capsule 10s (strip) may be impaired with concomittant use of bile acid sequestrants such as cholestyramine. Please seek medical advice if you experience any symptoms after using this product.

Hypocalcemia means you have a lower serum calcium level than normal in your blood results. However, you may or may not present with symptoms. Possible presenting symptoms include tingling or twitching of your muscles and irregular heartbeats.
Here are steps to manage hypocalcemia.
Eat foods rich in calcium. These include yogurt, cheese, milk, and dark green vegetables.
Take calcium and vitamin D supplements if needed.
Comply with your prescribed medications such as One-Alpha 1mcg Capsule.
Regular sunbaths may help your body to make vitamin D.
Monitor serum calcium and phosphate levels regularly and discuss with your doctor your diet and supplements to help manage this condition.
