Always wash your hands before taking Timolast 0.5% Eye Drop Use just the amount of drops that your doctor has recommended and wait for approximately 5 minutes between each drop. If you use soft contact lenses, remove them before using the drops and wait for at least 15 minutes before putting them back in. If you are also taking another eye medication, wait for at least 10 minutes before using it. Read the booklet that comes with the medication for a complete guidance on how to use the drops and receive the greatest benefit. Do not contact the tip of the dropper or bottle. This may lead to infection. You should take this medication consistently to receive the greatest benefit and it is best used at the same time(s) each day. If you wish to discontinue taking it, contact your doctor first. The most frequent adverse effects include burning and stinging feeling in the eye. There are additional, less frequent, adverse effects affecting different areas of the body some of which may be severe when Timolast 0.5% Eye Drop gets absorbed into the systemic circulation. Consult your doctor if you are concerned by any adverse effects.
This medicine is for external use only. Always wash your hands before and after applying eye drops. Tilt your head back and look upwards. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it to avoid contamination. Pull down the lower eyelid to form a pouch. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Whilst keeping the affected eye closed, gently press your finger against the corner of the closed eye (the side where the eye meets the nose) and hold for 1 minute. Wipe off any extra liquid. Wait for 5 minutes before administering another drop into that eye (of the same or different medication) to prevent drops from being washed out of the eye. Ensure to replace and tighten the cap straight after use or discard away any medication for single-use containers.
