How To Use Xeloda 150mg Tablet 60s
This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
Hand and Foot Syndrome, Chest pain, Eye irritation, Increased lacrimation, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Dehydration, Weight gain, Joint pain, Insomnia
Warning Precautions
Alcohol Warning (Safe)
There is no contraindication nor any pervious data to suggest interaction between Xeloda 150mg Tablet 60s and alcohol. The side effects profile of Xeloda 150mg Tablet 60s also does not suggest any augmentation of the alcohol side effects.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
There is no human pregnancy data on the usage of Xeloda 150mg Tablet 60s but animal reproductive studies suggest high teratogenicity and harm during pregnancy. It is, therefore, contraindicated to be used during pregnancy.
Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)
It is contraindicated to breastfeed while on this medication eventhough it is not known whether Xeloda 150mg Tablet 60s will be secreted into the human breastmilk or not.
Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
It is not advisable to drive when on Xeloda 150mg Tablet 60s treatment as potential side effects such as eye irritation and dizziness may occur which can affect the ability to drive and concentrate.
Kidney Warning (High Risk)
Xeloda 150mg Tablet 60s dosage should be adjusted on people with mild to moderate renal impairment and is contraindicated in severe renal impairment.
Liver Warning (Use With Care)
Despite insufficient data to recommend dosage adjustment, precautionary measures should be taken in people with mild to moderate hepatic impairment. Close monitoring may be advisable in people with severe hepatic impairment.
Quick Tips
Xeloda 150mg Tablet should be taken within 30 minutes of eating a meal.
The dosage and the amount of cycles of therapy depends on patient's condition.
May cause dizziness. Use Xeloda 150mg Tablet with caution when driving or doing activities that require attention until you know how it affects you.
Compared to most chemotherapy medications, the frequency of hair loss is significantly lower.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not take Xeloda 150mg Tablet.
Regular blood tests will be conducted to monitor your blood cells.
Notify your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, mouth sores, chest pain or lack of appetite.
