This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Warning Precautions
Alcohol Warning (Safe)
Apo-Alendronate 70mg Tablet 4s has no interaction with alcohol.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
There are no adequate data from the use of Apo-Alendronate 70mg Tablet 4s in pregnant women. Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicity which caused dystocia related to hypocalcemia in rats. Apo-Alendronate 70mg Tablet 4s should not be used during pregnancy
Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
It is not known whether alendronate/metabolites are excreted in human milk. A risk to the newborns/infants cannot be excluded. Alendronate not be used during breast-feeding.
Driving Warning (Generally Safe)
Apo-Alendronate 70mg Tablet 4s usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well..
Kidney Warning (Safe If Prescribed)
Do not require dose adjustment for patients with a glomerular filtration rate (GFR) greater than 35 ml/min. However, it is not recommended for patients with impaired renal function if the GFR is less than 35 ml/min, as there is no data of this.
Liver Warning (Safe If Prescribed)
No dose adjustment is necessary.
Quick Tips
It should be taken at least thirty min prior eating and drinking anything in the morning. Keep your head and body erect for thirty min after taking the medication to ensure proper drug delivery. It will reduce the calcium levels in your body. Therefore, aim to eat enough of calcium-rich foods and regularly check your blood calcium levels. While using this medication, you should take care after your mouth and teeth. Go for frequent dental check-ups, and notify your dentists that you are on it.
