Arava 10mg Tablet is a prescription drug that helps relieves inflammation, swelling and redness. You may take Arava 10mg Tablet with or without food. You should take it consistently every day to maximize the effect of the medication. Try to take medication as prescribed and fulfill the treatment even though you feel better. Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you have issues with your heart, kidneys, or liver to assure that the medication is safe for you. Tell the doctor about your medication history. Your doctor may suggest routine blood tests to assure that the drug does not affect your liver or blood counts. Before taking the medicine, nursing and breastfeeding mothers should consult with their doctors.

How To Use Arava 10mg Tablet 30s

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Take the dosage and frequency of this drug as instructed by your doctor. Swallow it entirely. Chew it and do not crush it or break it. Arava 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but should be taken at a set time. It may cause some common side effects such as nausea, headache, dyspepsia, rash, diarrhea, headache, increased liver enzymes, and respiratory tract infection. Consult the doctor if these side effects does not subside or gets worse over time. Your doctor can help to reduce or prevent these symptoms.

Warning Precautions

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Arava 10mg Tablet 30s as there are higher risk of liver toxicity.

Pregnancy Warning (Limited Data)

Arava 10mg Tablet 30s is unsafe to use during pregnancy as it can cause serious birth defects. Contraception must be used up to 2 years after treatment to avoid the adverse effects.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)

Arava 10mg Tablet 30s should not be used during lactation as animal studies indicate that Arava 10mg Tablet 30s or its metabolites pass into breast milk.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

Arava 10mg Tablet 30s may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.Therefore, patients should restrain themselves from taking the medication whilst driving.

Kidney Warning (High Risk)

No dosage adjustment of Arava 10mg Tablet 30s in patients with mild kidney disease. Nevertheless, use of Arava 10mg Tablet 30s is contraindicated in patients with moderate to severe kidney disease as adverse effects cannot be excluded due to lacking clinical studies.

Liver Warning (Use With Care)

Liver function should be tested prior to administration of Arava 10mg Tablet 30s as it can cause liver impairment. Hence, it should not be used with other medications that can cause liver toxicity. Frequent liver function monitoring is required.

Quick Tips

Arava 10mg Tablet should be taken according to the recommended dosage and duration. It will take about 6-8 weeks to take effect. Continue to take Arava 10mg Tablet during this period.
Regular blood tests will be conducted to monitor your blood count and liver function while on Arava 10mg Tablet.
Do not drink alcohol while on Arava 10mg Tablet as it may further affect your condition and cause damage to your liver.
It is advisable to practice contraception while on Arava 10mg Tablet.
Do not take Arava 10mg Tablet and notify your doctor immediately if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Arava 10mg Tablet increases your risk of getting an infection. Avoid getting close to people with cold, flu or other infectious diseases.
Notify your doctor if you experince diarrhea or nausea while taking Arava 10mg Tablet.
