Take this medicine at the dosage and duration prescribed by your doctor. Swallow it down as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it down. Buscopan 10 mg tablet can be taken with or without food, but it is best taken at a fixed time.
The most common side effects include blurred vision, increase in heart rate, dry mouth, and dilation of the pupil. Most of these are temporary and usually dissapear with time. Contact your doctor immediately if you are worried about any of these side effects. This medicine may cause diarrhea, so it is best to drink a lot of fluids when taking this medicine because it may help avoid dehydration. It can also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do something that needs a mental concentration until you know how this medicine affects you. Stop drinking alcohol while taking this medicine because it can make the sleepiness worse.
